Turkish Opus Land Development eyes Romanian tourism market

After releasing the real estate project Cosmopolis, Turkish company Opus Project&Development, part of Buyukhanli Group aims to enter the Romanian market with its tourism division too. Buyukhanli Group studied the Romanian market in 1996 and last year made the first step by purchasing 100 ha of land at Stefanestii de Jos (north of Bucharest) for the real estate project Cosmopolis.
At present, the company has started works of development of a residential complex which will include about 6,000 apartments and that will need an investments effort of some 700 million euros.
According to Murta Kavurga, general manger of Opus Land Development, investments will not limit to the residential component, although they will start with luxury apartments.
