Easy buying process draws investors to Turkey

The uncomplicated system of buying property in Turkey is one of the main reasons for its appeal to foreign buyers, a media outlet has stated.
Today's Zaman attributed the popularity of the country to overseas property investors to the ease with which people were able to buy a house.
This was said to be a factor behind the large number of foreign purchases in regions such as Antalya, where almost a quarter of real estate was owned by foreign nationals.
Citing police figures, the newspaper added that many overseas property buyers had chosen to leave their native country and move to the city permanently.
Almost 200 nationalities were said to be represented in Antalya, including Russians, Danes, Britons, Germans and Ukrainians.
Figures showed that these people owned almost one in four homes in the city, mainly in the district of Alanya.
