Turkey could attract more visitors

Turkey has the potential to become one of the world's most important holiday destinations, an official has stated.
Volkan Simsek, chairman of the Professional Hotel Managers Associated, said the country had the capacity to double the amount of money it generated.
However, he stated that the country needed to realise the "tremendous potential" it had in order to reap the rewards.
Speaking to Today's Zaman, Simsek said that if it achieved this goal, it would become one of the five most popular holiday destinations in the world.
He commented: "Turkey is certainly capable of succeeding in this - it is a must to realise this potential."
Simsek added that Turkey had the ability to earn GBP19 billion a year from the tourist sector, which is more than twice the current level.
