Property bargains to be found in Turkey
05 February 2010
Property bargains can be found in Turkey, according to the National Association of Estate Agents.
Property sales in the country have taken something of a hit recently due to the recession, meaning that many sellers have lowered prices to tempt buyers, the body stated in its 2010 predictions for the global property market.
"In Turkey, bargains are to be had as developers try to encourage sales with significant discounts, particularly for cash buyers, and this trend will continue through 2010 in an attempt to mop up excess stock," commented Richard Edgar, the association’s spokesperson for Turkey and the Caribbean.
"There is a glut of unsold properties providing some genuine and excellent bargains… with some offers of up to 40 per cent discount for cash buyers."
Last month, it was reported that easyJet and Pegasus Airlines are launching new flights to Antalya which could help make the country more attractive to people looking to buy property there.
