Property buyers tell of great experience in Turkey
12 November 2009
A couple who made a successful international property investment in Turkey have spoken of their experience.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Ted and Libby Garside from London said they not only enjoy holidays with their three daughters at their Turkish villa in Kalkan on the Mediterranean coast, but also rent it out to British visitors at other times.
Noticing a rise in demand of late, Ms Garside stated: "More consumers seem to be looking to Turkey as a holiday destination due to rising costs in more traditional European resorts and also because of the terrible sterling to euro exchange rate."
The paper noted that because eurozone holidays have become more expensive due to the comparative strengths of the euro and sterling, money exchange firms have seen a major rise in the conversion of UK pounds into Turkish lira and Egyptian pounds.
