West Turkey properties 'hitting the market'

People who purchased property in Turkey are now looking to sell their investments, according to Real Estate Counsellors Federations.
Figures from the Real Estate Counsellors Federations show that foreigners who own properties in western Turkey areas such as Marmaris, Bodrum and Didim are putting them on the market.
Around 2,500 of the 6,500 homes owned by foreigners in Mugla's Fethiye district are reported to be up for sale.
Illhan Acikgoz, chairman of the South Aegean Tourism Facilities and Hostels Union, said: "There are almost 10,000 ready houses in Mugla, however, people are not willing to buy houses at this time."
State minister Mekmet Simsek recently praised Turkey's response to the global economic crisis, stating a number of promising development were taking place nationwide despite the gloomy global outlook.
