Prices to sail ahead
08 April 2009
The long awaited Altinkum Didim Yatch Marina in Turkey is finally going to be opened with a striking launch in May this year, which should benefit property in Altinkum.
It is the second largest Marina in Europe with a capacity to hold over a thousand yachts’ and a huge collection of big and small boats, plus its own pier and facilities. A shopping mall, a yacht club and all the practical amenities such as shopping centres, café bars and restaurants will also be opened in and around the marina.
Paul Field, UK sales manager of Atlas International, a property agency marketing a number of homes for sale near the new marina, comments: “[The new marina] is bringing in buyers from not only all of Europe but the rest of the world. Prices in this area are still very cheap, but with this new marina, properties are getting snapped up with prices going against the current global norm and rising month on month.”
To complement the new marina, plans to construct a nearby golf course, with completion earmarked for 2013, have already been approved by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
