New golf course in Turkey
24 October 2008
A new GBP 22.8 million golf resort in Altinkum has been given the go-ahead by planning officials. The 18-hole course will be developed on a 170-acre site near the Aegean Sea.
Altinkum has already attracted over 8,000 British property buyers due to low prices, although the new golf course is expected to open up a higher-end market in the area.
Dominic Whiting, editor of the Buying in Turkey guide, described the proposals as "a major boost for the resort", adding that it will have a good effect on the property market in the area.
