Foreign visitors to Cappadocia region embrace the country's cuisine, according to a local tourism official.
Worldbulletin.net reports that Mustafa Durmaz, chairman of Goreme Tourism Development Centre, told AA that tourists were not only keen to visit the famous chimney rocks, but were also interested in learning about the traditional and regional flavours of Turkish food.
Mr Durmaz said that the tourists most interested in local cuisine were from Japan, Spain, Germany and the US.
He added: "Because of the interest of the tourists in Turkish cuisine, boarding houses and hotels present traditional meals for them."
